The Flexstar Zeus X2 Smart Controller (model X2A) runs two independent channels of Flexstar LED or HID fixtures — up to 100 per channel over RS-485 — with dimming, spectrum, sunrise/sunset and separate UV and far-red schedules, while showing temperature, humidity, VPD and CO₂ on the same screen.
The Zeus X2 is Flexstar's wall-mounted controller for its LED and HID fixtures. It has two lighting channels, each with its own RJ11 light-control port and sensor port. A channel drives up to 100 fixtures over RS-485 or 80 fixtures over 0-10V, and dims them in steps of OFF, 25, 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100%.
Each channel carries three light types — main, UV and far-red — and each type runs in manual mode or on a daily schedule. UV and far-red each take a second daily schedule, so a supplemental window can run twice a day without a second timer.
Channel 2 can run on its own program or follow Channel 1, so two rooms can share one controller or two halves of one room can run the same recipe.
On Flexstar fixtures built for spectral tuning, the X2 sets the main-light spectrum by stage — the screen labels them Seedling, Veg, Early Flower and Late Flower. Fixtures without spectral tuning ignore the setting and dim normally.
With sunrise/sunset turned on, lights ramp up to the set level, and back down to off, over 10 minutes at each on and off time instead of switching hard.
The included temperature/humidity sensor (7 m cable) feeds the screen with temperature, humidity and VPD; add the optional CO₂ sensor for a CO₂ reading (10–5,000 ppm). Each channel reads its own sensor, and readings can be calibrated from the controller.
Auto dim drops the main lights to 50% of their setting when that channel's temperature reaches the trigger you set (86–194°F), and holds until the room is 0.9°F below the trigger for 30 seconds. Auto shutdown turns the main lights off at a higher trigger and needs a manual reset. Flexstar recommends setting the trigger at least 3.6°F above your HVAC setpoint.
The X2 measures 5.43 × 3.33 × 1.04 in and weighs 0.48 lb. It mounts with 3M adhesive, on two screws through its slotted hanging holes, or magnetically on the included iron plate. A 100–240V AC adapter supplies 12V DC. The screen can be locked to stop accidental changes on the floor.
